The liquid bulk port itself boasts of having world class port facilities whereby the draft at the loading bay stands at 20 meters.
Gamalux Oils has already planned ahead for future business expansion with the upcoming Oleochemicals plant at POIC Lahad Datu which will be the first of its kind at Borneo Island Malaysia. Sabah Economic and Development Investment Authority (SEDIA) has acknowledged the plan and expressed their support to see this project materialize in the very near future.

POIC Sabah is a very strategic location. It is a dedicated terminal for liquid base products. We have direct pumping facilities from our factory to POIC liquid bulk terminal port. With the location nearby to port, its is an advantage to us to ensure smooth shipment. POIC terminal has 7 berths. The two outer berths can accommodate vessels up to 100,000 DWT. It is sheltered, natural harbour with 20-metre draft. It also convenient shipping routes to supplies and markets.
