Pioneer status company in Malaysia as one of the largest producers of sustainable feedstocks
Gamalux Oils Sdn Bhd was established in Malaysia on October 2009. Since then, we have established ourselves & built a reputation as the pioneer in solvent extraction and specialized pre-treatment technologies to cater to sustainable renewable energy feedstocks which emphasizes on green technology.
Gamalux Oils keeps contributing to Mother Nature by recycling agriculture waste mainly from palm-based materials to produce valuable feedstocks for renewable energy markets. Our organization is able to process and pre-treat multiple agriculture-based cargos to produce valuable feedstocks for various industries such as the Biodiesel (BD), Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO), and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) industries.
By integrating these systems and criteria into the supplier screening process, we can effectively identify and partner with suppliers who share their commitment to sustainable feedstock sourcing, thereby promoting environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic resilience across the supply chain.
Evaluate suppliers' ability to provide transparent information about the origin and production processes of their feedstocks. Traceability ensures that the feedstocks are sourced responsibly and ethically, without any contribution to deforestation, habitat destruction, or human rights violations.
Assess suppliers’ environmental impact assessments, including carbon footprint analysis, water usage, land use change, and biodiversity impact. Suppliers should demonstrate efforts to minimize negative environmental effects through sustainable farming practices, conversation measures, and efficient resource management.
Consider suppliers’ commitment to social responsibility, including fair labour practices treatment, worker welfare, community engagement, and respect for indigenous rights. Ethical sourcing practices should prioritize the well-being of workers and local communities involved in feedstock production.
Evaluate suppliers' supply chain management practices to ensure transparency, efficiency, and resilience. Suppliers should have their own mechanisms in place to monitor and mitigate risks that are related to climate change, market fluctuations, and geopolitical instability that could affect feedstock availability and quality.
Promoting annual OSHE Week in both factories and main office to create overall ESG practices and policies awareness for all the staff and management. At the same time, inviting the Ministry of Plantation and Health, cooperate very closely with Local Authorities be it MIDA, Safety & Health and Fire Fighting, and building close relationship with Local Authorities.
Conduct a lifecycle analysis of feedstock production, processing, transportation, and disposal to assess overall sustainability performance. Suppliers should strive to the maximum to minimize energy consumption, waste generation, and emissions throughout the lifecycle of their feedstocks.
Consider suppliers' commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in sustainable feedstock production. Suppliers should invest in research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, resource efficiency, and environmental performance. Our customers provide and support Gamalux Oils in our innovation and development program.
Engage with stakeholders including suppliers, customers, NGOs, government agencies, and local communities to gather diverse perspectives and ensure alignment with sustainability goals. Collaborative partnerships can foster transparency, accountability, and a shared value creation along the supply chain.
Ensure suppliers comply with relevant laws, regulations, and international agreements governing feedstock production, trade, and environmental protection. Non-compliance with legal requirements can pose reputational risks and legal liabilities for both suppliers and buyers.
Prioritize suppliers who demonstrate a long-term commitment to sustainability rather than pursuing short-term gains. Sustainable feedstock sourcing requires ongoing dedication, investment, and collaboration to address evolving challenges and opportunities in a rapidly changing world.
An established ESG consultant has been engaged as Gamalux Oils' advisor to handle, audit and manage our Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) program and practices for the next 3 years until August 2027. Their main task scope is to develop a 3-year roadmap and phased implementation strategy describing the ESG elements within Gamalux Oils' portfolio, aligning with the latest reporting standards and regulators. The final ESG Framework incorporation of ESG elements include governance, management, roles and responsibilities, reporting mechanism and external communication with strategies to drive organizational change and promote a culture of sustainability with updating ESG risks on a regular basis, and to list down all the potential preliminary targets on sustainability KPIs.
We think of ourselves as the protector of Mother Nature. Our expertise lies in our strength and technology to process waste materials originated from palm oil industries to produce high quality sustainable feedstocks for various industries such as the renewable energy sector (Biodiesel – BD, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil – HVO, Sustainable Aviation Fuel – SAF) and animal feed industries.
We even managed to find a solution to re-use the waste (De-Oiled Bleaching Earth – DOBE) which is being produced at our facilities. With an on-going research and development partnership with University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), we intend to utilise the DOBE to manufacture high quality bricks and pavement blocks. Now, that’s really a zero-waste industry!
